The City of North Tonawanda Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) Program and Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Update provide exciting opportunities for the City to plan for, design, and being implementing revitalization projects in targeted areas of the City. The projects, being completed in tandem, will help to stimulate further redevelopment in the City, improve the quality of life for residents, and enhance the waterfront and downtown as a destination for people from near and far.

In early 2009 the City of North Tonawanda selected Bergmann Associates, a local consulting firm, to assist in the development and facilitation of the BOA and LWRP projects. Both projects kicked-off in late summer 2009 and are expected to be completed by the end of 2010. Together, they will provide a sound framework for identifying catalyst revitalization and implementation projects in the City.
